  • Weekly Blog
    • Owner and head coach Greg Tymon will learn you on a multitude of CrossFit and other related fitness topics.  With 20 years experience in the fitness industry, razor sharp wit, devastatingly good looks, and humble demeanor, you will be anxiously awaiting each and every blog post.
  • 116 Royal Burpee Challenge
    • Yes, the challenge accepted by thousands world wide last year is back!  The challenge begins Saturday, February 9th and culminates on the 116th birthday anniversary of Easton native Royal Huddleston Burpee, credited with developing the movement.  The challenge consists of doing 1 burpee on day 1 and adding a burpee each day for 116 days.
  • 2013 Crossfit Games
    • March 6th begins The Open, which is the first round of the CrossFit Games.  The Open consists of 5 workouts over 5 weeks.  At the end of the five weeks, the Open’s top athletes in each region will move on to the the second stage of the competition — Regionals.  There is an Idividual and Team division.  We are a host affiliate which means our coaches will judge each participants workout.  Sign up here: The Crossfit Open
  • Fundraising WODs
    • We will continue to host events to raise money for those in need in 2013.  Upcoming events include CrossFit Sandy Hook Elementary Victim Relief on Saturday, January 5th (click here for link) and Barbells for Joey II sometime in March.
  • CFA Warm-Up 2.0
    • Yes, the long standing warm-up you have come to love will get a face lift.  There will be a short general warm-up followed by a group warm-up specific to the WOD.  Also, stay tuned for the much needed mandatory group cool-down.
  • Monthly Themes
    • I don’t mean dressing as your favorite superhero.  Each month there will be an emphasis on particular elements of fitness built into the programming.  Themes will include gymnastic based movements, Olympic lifts, strength development, etc.
  • Specialty Clinics
    • We will continue our self-development clinics in the new year.  The clinics are in addition to our regular class schedule and will be taught by our coaching staff with one covering Olympic lifts another on Gymnastics, and more to come.  Sign-ups are required and dates and times will be announced soon.
  • Test Your Metal 2013
    • The CFA hosted CrossFit competition known far and wide as Test Your Metal will be held mid July in Allentown at Lehigh Valley SportsFest.  We encourage all our members to join in on the fun.  The 2 day event has both an individual and team division.
  • Snow Brawl 2013, Battle of the Boxes
    • Our friendly and competitive dual meet with RedShed CrossFit will decide if CFA gets to keep the coveted Snow Brawl Globe for another year.  In December we will make the trip to RedShed’s new location for this fun-filled day of sweat and cheers.
  • Live Streaming WebCam
    • This is not definite yet, but we are working on installing a webcam to stream our classes live on our website.  How cool would it be to tune into a class time to watch the action as it happens.  More info to come soon.

2013 promises to be a year filled with bacon.
