I made the decision to try CrossFit Advanced when I was in the gym one day, about to do a long, monotonous work out of ridiculous volume. I knew I would just be going through the motions and I realized that I was beginning to lose interest in my passion for fitness. I needed a change and after a month at CrossFit Advanced under Greg’s expert advice and guidance I feel that I have become a much more balanced athlete. He has pointed out my weaknesses as an athlete and helped me to develop them. I have always leaned more on aerobic and endurance exercise, thus neglecting my anaerobic capacity, flexibility, and explosiveness. I have made big gains in a short amount of time in these areas and haven’t really lost any endurance. I have always been skeptical of group exercise and classes, but CrossFit Advanced is full of awesome people with interesting backgrounds. I have lifted weights for years, wrestled in high school, boxed and ran a marathon in college, and been through some very mentally and physically tough military training, yet I feel challenged while at CrossFit Advanced. It has a friendly, yet competitive atmosphere with everyone trying to push each other no matter what stage of fitness they’re in. If you want to have fun, get in shape, and surround yourself with good people, try CrossFit Advanced.
