CrossFit Advanced (CFA) in Easton, PA offers an exceptional training regimen. The high intensity workouts, designed to promote functional fitness, vary daily and address strength, agility and cardiovascular fitness. There are power movements, cardio blasts, and lots of calisthenics. You cannot get bored with these workouts!!!
I started the program with trepidation. I wasn’t sure the concept worked for me. How could I spend less time working out yet still get results? I was old school. I was used to running and weight training the old fashioned way…logging miles and doing 3 sets of 15 repetitions.
At CFA, you combine cardio and strength training. For example, we do “wall balls”. We throw a weighted medicine ball high against a wall, catch it and then do a full squat. This movement works on shoulders, biceps, quads, etc, all at once. Plus, since you do many repetitions quickly, it is a cardio workout too!
It didn’t take me long to become a believer in the CFA style of training. The program works!! And the best part is…everyone has fun even though the workouts are tough.
